  • She co-founded a social media marketing agency, where she led copy and communications for national food and beverage brands for nearly a decade.
  • She also has a background in the film industry and hospitality, having worked for years as an actress/waitress in Los Angeles. (Yes, she could tell you a lot about the dining habits of celebrities.)

Experience

Liana began her writing career covering restaurants around the world for travel and hospitality websites, including Eurobookings.com. Her fascination with internet culture and how it impacts how, what, and where we eat led her to co-found Saturday Social, a social media marketing agency that specialized in consumer products in the food and beverage industry. While managing accounts for national brands like Ancient Harvest, Hope Foods, ALO Drink, and Jack & Annie's, she became very knowledgeable about consumer behavior, nutrition, and the world of food retail. She has contributed content to over 20 brand blogs and websites, including Daily Meal and Food52. She writes a personal newsletter on Substack titled "Dramedy." Liana shares her thoughts on consumer behavior and the creative process as she works on a novel.
