Southwest Portland-based Uptown Market is opening a 2nd location in Lake Oswego, just south of Portland. Uptown Market is a successful bottle shop and taproom that opened in December 2011 and installed its own brewery too in 2014. With not many craft beer options in Lake Oswego, Uptown Market fills a niche and joins a community along with Stickmen Brewery & Skewery and Flyboy Brewing.
Owners Stuart Faris and A.J. Shepard tell me that the new Lake Oswego location is slightly smaller so it does not have room for its own brewery options, but you can bet it will have beer from the main location. There will be plenty of room for taps, with 36-42 draft lines planned, a large bottle selection, and growler filling options. Uptown Market – Lake Oswego will have the added bonus of a kitchen and full food menu that the current location does not have. The new location will open in just a few months in April at 3970 Mercantile Drive Suite 11o Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035, one block south of Boones Ferry and Kruse Way.
