Foursquare Tips

  • Established: 1940. Vibe: The fictional Monks Cafe from Seinfeld. Signature dish: Roast turkey with dressing, cranberry sauce and gravy.
  • This place is weird and terrible. Bad service and beer selection. Don't come here unless you're drunk.
  • The glazed rat is amazing.
  • $11 for two mixed drinks late night on a Sat. Glass 90% full of gin & soda on the side.
  • Get the french fries, you'll regret it in a good way
  • Worst restaurant on 17th St and that's quite an achievement.
  • Some of the strongest drinks in town - basically bring you a glass of alcohol and a mixer on the side.
  • Great outdoor patio and strong cocktails!
  • Sweet. Just won 40 cents on the track !
  • Good little neighborhood pub - service can be rude, but weirdly endearing.
  • Ignore the haters. Try introducing yourself and making small talk with your bartender; free stuff might just follow. You may come in sober, but you'll never leave that way
  • This is a decent choice for Sunday breakfast. If you're a fan of Eggs Benedict, they have quite a few combinations to choose from.
  • Great food... nice staff... good friends... what more do you need?
  • Very good food at reasonable prices. The chicken parmesan is very tasty.
  • Avoid the front outdoor seating. Too much smoking. The sude patio is smokeless friendly.
  • Good food, but be careful with the mozzarella sticks. They might explode hot oil all over your face when you bite into them.
  • The margaritaville spiked tea is a gross beer.
  • I don't know why their calamari is so good, but it is. It really really is.
  • Apple Cider w/ spiced rum and pork chop'n eggs
  • Service is so bad. And the food isn't much better
