Foursquare Tips

  • The Sheerin brothers have outdone themselves with a polarizing menu of upscale charcuterie. Everyone has an opinion on this spot. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Located inside a former Turkish bathhouse, Trenchermen offers vintage cocktails and a menu of dishes that can probably be described as substantial.
  • Go tonight for cuttlefish noodles with pickled watermelon, and duck with rhubarb, red bean paste and nasturtium leaves:
  • No but seriously get the pickled tots! All the cool kids are doing it and your tastebuds will thank you!!
  • Try the pickle tots!
  • Great service. Cool ambiance. Food is OK. Get the chocolate cream dessert!
  • pickle tots = big yum. and the corn donuts and the blueberry dessert were to die for.
  • Pickle tots!
  • The Pickle Tots are phenomenal.
  • I love when simple can be delicious. Try the wild rice & cashew kettle corn @ the bar. Knock. Your. Socks. Off.
  • They serve the unique selection of brunch on Sunday. Everything I ordered was good except the extremely salty Asian noodle. I might not return for brunch, but I will definitely go back for dinner.
  • Go on Wednesday for the beer and burger deal
  • Inventive menus with aggressive flavors. Burger night and the staff meal are sweet deals. Great for brunch, dates or any occasion really. Fav restaurant in Wicker, poss the whole city. Prepare to eat.
  • This Wicker Park restaurant is like the nicest amalgam of all the hippest restaurants youve ever been to: light bulbs hung on sailing rope and wood-and-brick everything in an airy, well-lit space.
  • They have a four course prix fixe menu for $50 that's a great deal. Huge portions and you pick from dishes on the menu.
  • Toasted oats, hanger steak, octopus with pozole broth,
  • The ribs here are good and tasty. They use a combo of classic rib technique with a Thai approach. Ribs are flash fried for a crispy outer shell, and then glazed in a Thai-influenced sauce.
  • Get the pickle tots. You're welcome.
  • I loved the bresaola-style chicken slices, piled high over cubes of pickle tots (the brothers' terrific take on tater tots) and a beet-tinged, ranch-dressing-meets-borscht yogurt sauce.
  • The Barrel-aged Malrt at Trenchermen is one of the 100 best things we drank this year. http://tmout.us/rLOtk
