  • The Saturn at Three Dots and a Dash is one of the 100 best things we drank this year.
  • I got drunk
  • An underground tiki bar with tropical drinks both classic and new from Paul McGee, formerly of The Whistler.
  • Three dots and a dash is Morse code for 'V,' for 'victory,' celebrating the end of WWII and the return of Allied Forces in Tiki style.
  • "What one rum can't do, three rums -- and a gin, and a whiskey, and a brandy -- can." -Paul McGee, proprietor Three Dots and a Dash Tiki Bar
  • Start off with a Three Dots and a Dash or a Saturn. End with a banana daiquiri or Paul's riff on the Painkiller, made with Appleton 12-year aged Jamaican rum.
  • Go with friends and get the Zombie Punch. When you are drinking booze out of a giant glass skull, all of your problems melt away.
  • Amazing tropical cocktails. Take a trip through a back alley in Chicago, down into a basement and somehow find yourself sitting at a tiki bar with an umbrella drink.
  • Emma Janzen says, "Modern tiki drinks featuring mezcal, genever and Scotch hold court against classics, which all taste fresh, balanced and totally on-point every time."
  • Don't steal the mugs!
  • The bearded guy on the menu? He's a real person. And his job is better than yours.
  • Finally!!! Tiki in the city! I've missed the original Trader Vic's...this is the perfect replacement. Thank You Melman boys :)
  • Fun to get one or two drinks. I always bring friends from out of Chicago. Pricey though
  • Pssssst. The entrance to this tiki bar is in the alley behind the building on Hubbard Street. If you find it make sure to try their Puka Puka Punch or Dead Reckoning. Great drink choices.
  • Definitely need more bar staff. Waiting 20 min for a drink is a buzz kill
  • Trader Vic's returns for the Twenty-something crowd.
  • Drinks are extremely strong!
  • Cool, chill atmosphere. Great drinks. I got the Jet Pilot. Sip slowly. It will kick your butt.
  • Drinks have pretty insane garnishes
  • Super boozy so if you're looking for some tiki drinkability, I'd opt for the painkillers. Plenty of tiny keepsakes to swipe including mermaid drink stirrers and thoughtfully designed cocktail napkins.
