Tips
- Celebrity chef Roy Choi recently re-formatted the menu to be on bigger plates & the food is like an island vacation! Plates come with rice and coleslaw. All the sandwiches comes with yucca fries. Yum!
- Roy Choi's Caribbean fusion brunch spot in Venice, with lots of jerk chicken and bottomless weekend mimosas.
- You may be a jerk if you order the double-coated, double-fried "What A Jerk Wings." But you won't care, cause you're a jerk. And cause they're awesome.
- Fyi "avocado mash" is guacamole.
- Wonderful outdoor dining.
- Two fisted burger is yummy. Sweet & salty fried plantains
- I loved this place! Fantastic Cuban-style brunch, but the bottomless rum punch was the star.
- Sunny Spot doesn't skip a beat during the sunny brunches, where things like spicy shrimp with fried egg and grits or banana french toast go great with a bottomless rum punch (ditch the mimosa!).
- Some of the most creative Rum cocktails, if you're a Pirate at heart this is you spot!
- Worst fucking service ever. Good food, but took forever.
- One of the best burgers I've had in L.A.
- Check out the rum guide for more cocktail suggestions.
- The jerk wings are next level
- Get the veggie burger and fries! Trust me! Watermelon salad is also delicious!
- Best for Sunday brunches; endless mimosa's and jerk chicken...
- The food was a little overshadowed by the bottomless brunch deal but good nonetheless. Loud place with a fun vibe. Almost everyone there was in a large group and/or celebrating something.
- All you can drink mimosa brunch... How can you beat that?
- The happy hour menu is somewhat...lackluster. Avoid the pasty Cuban torta.
- Tasty food in quirky happy very lively place. Loved the heirloom tomatoes and the beet salad and the spicy scallops. And the waitress was in a very happy mood :-)
- Make a reservation for brunch. Wait times can be 45 mins if you can't find a spot at the bar.
