Will Open New Knoxville Restaurant This Fall, Building on Family Dining Tradition
Knoxville, TN (RestaurantNews.com) Stokely Healthy Foods will open a new Taziki’s Mediterranean Café in Knoxville in September.
William B. Stokely IV of Stokely Healthy Foods owns and operates the famous Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant as well as Applewood Farmhouse Grill in Sevierville, Tennessee. Stokely also owns Baskin Robbins locations in Knox and Sevier County and LeConte Lodge located in The Great Smoky Mountains. Taziki’s Knoxville is the Stokely family’s newest dining endeavor and they are pleased to introduce this concept to East Tennessee.
The Knoxville Taziki’s will encompass 2,800 square feet located on the corner of Kingston Pike and Northshore. The location will include some outdoor patio seating and beautiful interiors with high-quality features and modern concepts. “Everything is prepared fresh and cooked in a healthy manner,” said Stokely. Taziki’s Knoxville location will not use fryers, or microwaves while preparing meals for customers. The Taziki’s goal is simple, “Create loyal fans by exceeding expectations 100% of the time, providing the best fresh casual experience.”
The Stokely name has always represented the production of quality food and a commitment to family values as well as support of the community. That commitment remains true with the addition of Taziki’s Mediterranean Café. “Taziki’s prides itself on providing fast-casual healthy options,” said William B. Stokely, IV of Stokely Healthy Foods. “All meals are prepared from raw ingredients much like you would use in your own home. This is a restaurant our community will love and appreciate and one that supports the values of the Stokely mission statement which is to provide an exceptional customer experience in a unique setting.”
Over the years the Stokely family has evolved into many business ventures. The deeply rooted family business blood runs deep orange with their proud support and partnerships with the University of Tennessee. Other areas of support include JDRF, Friends of the Smokies, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life (Sevier County) and the Humane Society of Cocke County just to name a few.
During the grand opening and pre-opening celebrations Taziki’s of the Knoxville will accept guest donations to benefit East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. The hospital is a not-for-profit, private, independent pediatric medical center, which relies on community donations, explained Carlton Long, vice president for Development. “The Stokely family has been a long-time supporter of Children’s Hospital,” added Long. “We are very appreciative that Taziki’s will continue the tradition of giving back to our children.” A check will be presented on the official opening day of the restaurant.
