Foursquare Tips

  • Thinly cut fries are subtly seasoned. Burgers ($15) are made with brisket and topped with bacon and white cheddar. And the turkey club sandwich ($11) is always popular.
  • Recommended: Country pt, snow pea and radish salad, charred octopus appetizer, swordfish, rainbow trout, chocolate mousse.
  • The swordfish is great, and pair it with a penny drop. Make sure they serve it in a copper mug.
  • Do you like sceney-but-accessible celebrity haunts? Of course you do. You'll overpay for some artisanal jamon but you might sit next to Cindy Crawford.
  • poached eggs in olive oil are fantastic. and the raised donuts are one hell of a starter.
  • Downstairs restroom: take the Dyson Air Blade hand dryers for a test drive! It's like a dream come true!
  • Fondue & Bingo Sunday nights!
  • Great steak. Amazing octopus. Dont forget to notice the 480.000 pennies on the floor.
  • Good seasonal food but expect some logistical issues (wait time, etc.). Standouts were the million dollar whole roast chicken ($34) and the Long Island duck breast with spiced orange sauce ($28).
  • One of my faves. Start w/ a dozen oysters and chicken liver royale, move on to the rib-eye for two, don't miss the duck fat potatoes. Finish w/ a nice Scotch. Not for the faint of heart.
  • If you need to complain, ask for Marisha. She makes things happen.
  • Order the dozen oysters. Half from the east and half from the west. Sweet, succulent, salty
  • It's a winner for its stylish surroundings & buzzy atmosphere underneath the High Line. The brasserie-style menu always delivers & the tables outside are just made for people-watching, New York style.
  • The kitchen is only open till 2 am now until the spring
  • Sample their (free!) and delicious patatas bravas with smoked paprika aioli. Also a must-get? The spicy Bloody Mary.
  • Come without a reservation. Ask for the chef's table. It's for walk-ins only. And it's an amazing view of the grill and the kitchen.
  • Best eggs benedict ever!

  • Cocktail tip: get a penny drop and have them muddle in fresh jalapeos. Spicy penny!
  • The bartender Ramon makes a great drink called the Penny Drop. This variant includes Diplomtico Rum, House Made Ginger Cordial, Lime Juice, Ginger Beer and Fresh Ginger. Great!
