Award-Winning Pizzeria Has Additional Restaurants Under Construction
Kansas City, MO (RestaurantNews.com) SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza continues to grow and thrive in markets across the country. In the last six months, SPIN! has opened seven locations in four states and has three more locations under construction.
The growth spurt began in March, when SPIN! Pizza opened a location downtown in Crown Center, a destination popular with both locals and tourists in its Kansas City, Mo. home market. That Greater Kansas City location was followed two months later with a restaurant in the southern suburbs of Overland Park, Ks, where SPIN!® launched its first location in 2005.
In April, SPIN!’s first of four company-owned Dallas locations opened its doors in the suburb of Irving, Tx. Summer brought two more locations to Las Colinas and Southlake. A fourth Dallas-Fort Worth area location will open in October near the Southern Methodist University campus.
SPIN!’s first location on a college campus opened in August in the University of Central Missouri’s innovative new mixed-use facility featuring a combination of student housing and retail. Located on the edge of campus in Warrensburg, Mo., the restaurant is situated to serve both students and the local community with a patio that overlooks the football stadium.
August also brought the opening of the first SPIN! Pizza in the San Francisco Bay Area. That location, in Alameda, Ca, is operated by a franchisee.
Another franchisee has its first location under construction in Lawrence, Ks. The home of the University of Kansas, Lawrence is less than an hour from Kansas City.
Kansas City’s Northland area is the locale of another construction site where SPIN! is expected to open a company-owned restaurant this winter.
During the same six-month period that SPIN! added seven locations in four states, the pizzeria won additional awards both for its food and for its business concept.
SPIN! has previously received numerous national, regional, and local honors for its food and concept including being named one of the “Rest of the 101 Best Restaurants” in the nation by top foodie website TheDailyMeal.com.
