Tips
- About as Seattle as it gets. Chef Matt Dillon; Northwest ingredients; and dishes that seem disarmingly simple, until you realize you could never recreate them yourself. [Eater 38 Member]
- Amazing Restaurant in a location you will never believe
- Looking for a hip place to enjoy fresh local fare? Sitka and Spruce fit the bill for me on my first visit to the Seattle area.
- Amazing albacore and fresh summer vegetable
- This quintessential Seattle restaurant can take something as simple as a bowl of peaches and yogurt and make it somehow transcendent.
- 1235 is the bathroom code
- Holy fuck this place is good!
- Go for brunch on the weekend and be sure to order the scone. The scone, the butter and the seasonal fruit compote are a perfect plate.
- Sitka and Spruce is one of my favorite rooms in the city...it's a gorgeous space with gorgeous food. Try anything with tahini...just try anything it is all amazing. Thank you Matt Dillon!
- Matt Dillon obeys the museand more often than not the muse has one heck of a palate. His free-flowing style brings diners home-kitchen-esque combinations that make eating at Sitka wicked good fun.
- Order anything. Everything.
- Menu changes every so often.
- Lots of yummy vegetable starters - the carrots stole the show. Enter through the Melrose Market
- This is like the hipster Matts in the Market (but not AS good). Hang at the bar if u cant grab a table
- And the poached steelhead trout (with black trumpet mushrooms, leeks and some celery root pure) was incredible
- The gnocchi with braised pork was amazing!!
- They don't actually check their messages. Beautiful place. But like their sister restaurant The London Plane, the LA arrogance is unbecoming.
- Everything!! The creamed morel mushrooms was out of this world.
- Menu changes all the time so you wanna go back again and again. Wine list is
- The chef's vegetarian offerings are out of control delicious. Have to come here waaaay more often!
