Located inside downtown Seattle’s Hotel Monaco, chef Jason McClure’s Sazerac gives the cuisine of the Pacific Northwest a Southern twist, and (as the name might suggest) this welcoming and fun spot is also a great place for a cocktail.
The menu is divided into Vegetables & Greens; Plates; Snacks, Tapas, Bites; Crafted American Hams & Local Cheese; and Brick Oven Pizzas, and each section is chock full of delicious-sounding items. Vegetables include roasted beets with apples, goat cheese, and pistachios; large plates include half rotisserie chicken with tamarind roasted carrots and fingerling potatoes; snacks include smoked trout rillettes and fried Yukon Golds topped with truffle cheese and truffle aioli; three varieties of ham served with Cheddar biscuits; and pizzas include one topped with house-cured bacon, leeks, blue cheese, and crispy garlic. This is one of those menus where everything on it looks delicious, and if you want to try a little bit of everything, you can opt for the four-course tasting menu, which is an absolute steal at $45.
