Tips

  • Peacefully hidden behind the walls of an old school, in a lovely and relaxed ambience, this little restaurant serves delicious meals and brings good company.
  • Hidden behind the doors of an old Victorian school, its the perefect spot to enjoy a hearty meal. The menu changes daily and alcohol is not served, but you can bring your own liquor for a 5 corkage fee
  • Fantastic restaurant tucked away in an old school yard. Alas only open during weekdays during the day.
  • Ring a buzzer on the back gate to a primary school. Housed in the school's former bike shed,
  • In the heart of a Victorian school, the menu of this secreted away eatery changes daily, but rarely if ever disappoints. (Btw you need to hit the buzzer to be let in)
  • Best lunch in a mile. Buy British! Beetroot, Radicchio & Curd and the main dish Pork Chop, Lentils & Watercress we came to this lovely and very british Malt Loaf which was served with brown bread ice
  • Petit caf bobo dans une ancienne cole. A tester pour un petit dj ou djeuner en 'terrasse' (cours de rcr)!
  • EVERYTHING is good about the Rochelle Canteen
  • Refined but simple dishes in a hidden little restaurant. The food is lovely, but the proximity to the kitchen calls for a better ventilation system.
  • outdoor seating in their pretty garden, obviously
  • Great fresh changing menu. Fish is fantastic.
  • Wild sea trout, asparagus and hollandaise
  • New-school hideaway
  • Everything works for me inside the walls of Margot Henderson and Melanie Arnolds art-world lunch spot. - Andrew Tarlow, owner of Wythe Hotel, Diner, and Marlow & Sons in New York City
  • Modernistic, with traditional & robust British cooking on every visit. My favourite place in London is still going strong year after year, truly standing the test of time. Always stays true to itself.
  • The best lunch you can have in London.
  • Amazing food. Great location and atmosphere. Worth a day off just to visit!
  • Had amazing gnocchi, wild garlic pesto. So gorgeous.
  • Simple breakfast menu done very well
  • They serve wonderful, simple and seasonal food. Even their sauces are made by them. Looking forward to going again.
