Tips

  • With more than 40 years of kosher Jewish baking, you know the poppy seed hamantaschen ($2), is always on point here.
  • The quintessential Jewish bakery sells Hamentaschen, challah, macaroons, and babka all year round. Stop by during Purim, Hanukkah, and Rosh Hashanah for seasonal treats.
  • Since the 1960's Moishe's has been master of hamentaschen and other pastries native to Eastern European Jews, but make sure to try some of their savory breads too like the poppy-seed bagels.
  • Excellent rugelach!
  • Yummy raspberry hamantaschens!
  • Try their chocolate cigars :)
  • This place is outrageously awesome. Go around 5 and they're desperate to get rid of extra stuff. It's just as delicious.
  • A 2" slice (about $2.50) of the wonderful apple strudel makes a fine, filling breakfast.
  • I've bought the $12 chocolate babka twice. One time it was amazing, one time it was just good. Still worth it.
  • Best Hamentashen in NYC!
  • CHEESE STRUDEL!! No further questions
  • I stop in one a week. If you sweet talk the ladies-- they'll give ya a cookie for the road.
  • Love the hammentaschen
  • Tasty bread
  • Everything is the best. Moishe is lovely
  • Chocolate almond horns are insane.
  • Amazing selection of kosher cookies
  • Absolutely amazing babka. Worth every penny. Cookies are amazing too. Highly recommend going. Bring cash.
  • Moishe is providing my breakfast with sesame bagels, date strudels, or chocolate babka everyday (except Saturday)
  • Favorite hamantaschen in the city. Get the apricot or raspberry; cash only.
