Foursquare Tips

  • After two hours, my $11 "hand-crafted" nachos finally came. Probably should have stayed home with a bag of Tostitos and shredded cheese.
  • Large dining areas, so tables aren't on top of each other. My Dirty West cocktail was tasty (like an Old Fashioned), and my tampiquea was perfectly seasoned and cooked, while smaller than I expected.
  • New Tex-Mex restaurant. Filing entre portions. Go for the cocktails & sit at the bar. Definitely has potential.
  • The spinach and mushroom enchilada is spicy but still good
  • The space would work better as a big sports bar with tvs everywhere. Business lunches and happy hour feel more right here than sitting down to dinner.
  • It was really good! I wish a little less salt..Like the service tonight!!
  • So bad, they have queso but it taste like velveeta & service was slow, massive place though so good for groups
  • Do not order the puffy tacos unless you want to break your tooth. Why am I working for my food???
  • So overpriced and yuck - best part were the drinks. Whyyyy can't I find good Mexican in NYC
  • Run away! Food is mediocre and over-priced. Service is terrible. Would never return.
  • Homesick Southerners, rejoice! Queso has finally arrived in New York City. This month we're addingthis Hells Kitchen spot to the list of queso joints. Its a good time for Tex-Mex enthusiasts.
  • Honestly... Not that great. I was extremely disappointed. A lot of hype for nothing. If you're looking for authentic Tex-Mex, try Javelina Tex-Mex in Gramercy.
  • Good guacamole. Everything else just ok.
  • Chili con queso queso queso.
  • Excellent Tex-Mex for those of us who miss the real deal. Great queso, margaritas and my fajitas were right on. Give it a shot, good stuff.
  • The flautas were ok.
  • Christmas colors are reflected in the cocktails mixed with Pueblo Viejo Blanco at El Original.
  • Everything's good
  • Such wasted potential. Adequate tex mex, but with an absurd markup. $19 for average chicken enchiladas is unacceptable, especially with so many other options in the city. Simply not worth the price.
  • Not so original
