Foursquare Tips

  • Chicago's little breakfast secret. Tucked inside of River West Eggy's is a nice, warm spot for great food and never a long line. Try the chilaquiles for a good time
  • They have pancakes studded with snickers, M&M's and butterfingers. Need we say more?
  • The delicious Eggy's Benedict ($13.50) features poached eggs on pork belly with maple syrup over wedges of maple-soaked cornbread underneath a light Hollandaise.
  • The eggs benedict is def worth a try...mmmm cornbread
  • Try the cornmeal waffle with rhubarb and homemade whipped cream. UH-mazing!!
  • Free Wifi is a bonus, but let them know if you are waiting outside! Plus don't sit at the table by the door - drafty.
  • Gyros skillet.
  • You have to try the Fennel Ginger Float!!!!!!
  • Must try the smoothies. Don't forget to mention no sugar! It's quite sweet without the added sugar. I had the mixed berry. You may skip the latte/ cappuccino, quantity/ quality: price is amiss.
  • Check in on Yelp, and add your name to the list before arriving.
  • Definitely a nice spot if you live nearby, but not worth a special trip. Service was ok, food was good but not AMAZING
  • Great food and service.
  • Omelettes and anything with eggs
  • Nice American brunch place!
  • Generally it is a cool place to have breakfast, the Verb Omelette was really good but a bit oily to me, better share with your friends coz the dish is kinda heavy.
  • Colorado Omelette with egg whites and pumpernickel bread was filling without being over the top
  • The omelettes are good as are the cinnamon roll pancakes.
  • Nice place to have a breakfast but be careful as portions are huge
  • Excellent brunch at a real diner.
  • Their French toast was amazing, and so were the potatoes that come with any egg specialty.
