Tips

  • Local jewelry designer, Lauren Wolf, is a pro on traditional Mexican cuisine (seeing as she lived in Mexico!) She recommends Doa Toms as one of 6 must-visit spots in Oakland! Learn more here!
  • BRUNCH TIME! Sat and Sun 930-230
  • The carnitas plate is the best along with the house margarita.
  • Brunch is excellent! The best breakfast potatoes I've ever had.
  • Great selection of plates, all tasty. And those drinks, outstanding. All in a great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.
  • Best chilaquiles ever. Also, they will make you a michelada even though it's not on the menu.
  • The enchiladas are ridiculous. The mole is absolutely on point.
  • El Matador - a margarita of sorts with jalapeo -- both cold AND hot...yum!
  • Their chicken enchiladas are AMAZING. They also own Tacubaya up on 4th Street in Berkeley.
  • Been here for dinner and lunch. Mole enchiladas are fantastic.
  • They have vegan chilaquiles which are amazing!!! I get them with black beans for an added texture and flavor.
  • Great Mexican place. It looks small from the front, but its quite big, with many different rooms and a nice patio. The food was quite nice, service was a bit confused but it was ok.
  • Delicious brunch spot with fun outdoor seating. Highly recommend the carne asada with eggs dish for brunch. Excellent flavor and tenderness.
  • Two words. Garden. Garden. Thats all is good. Food is ok, sometimes not that good. Drinks are good. But the garden is so so great is worth a trip.
  • Great brunch, no crowds at 10. The chile relleno is as exceptionally good as everyone says. Churros are also excellent.
  • Chilli Rellenos here is amazing!
  • Enchiladas con mole roja was delicious! Also enjoyed the vegetarian quesadillas de calabaza. Try and grab a seat on the patio. Come for Happy Hour from 5-6:30 and grab a cocktail too!
  • The ceviche contains big fresh chunks of fish in a saucy tomato like sauce. Had the mole chicken and Enchiladas and was not disappointed. The chip salsa is really fantastic too.
  • Enchiladas, carnitas, ceviche.
  • Enchiladas !
