  • One of the most overlooked/underrated patios in all of SF, this Hayes Valley eat spot's back end is shaded by trees and lush green plants. Perfect for enjoying an iced tea. Or beer.
  • Drink a bottle of wine on the patio behind Arlequin Wine Merchant.
  • The patio out back is where it's at on a nice day. Shade & sun seating, buy a baguette, some cheese, and a bottle of wine (from the connected wine shop) and while away the hours.

  • Could possibly be one of my favorite cafe's in San Francisco. Free wi-fi and a fantastic outdoor area. Food, coffee and baked goods are pretty spot on. Nice wine bar next door as well.
  • With its surprising hidden patio inside the block, having a home-made sandwich for lunch in this little snackbar is a must.(+1) 415 626-1211
  • One of the few cafes that has restaurant quality food, the shrimp po' boys sell out quick and the Cuban sandwich with pork confit is fantastic.
  • When in Hayes Valley and need a place for a casual meeting -- this is it. Solid wireless network, great french fries, the croque arlequin (their take on Cr. Monsieur) and Cuban sandwiches are fine bi
  • Get the lentil/quinoa salad - it is SOOOO good.
  • Get the Indian-spiced lamb burger one of the most unique burgers in San Francisco.

  • Love the food, but the dirty chai isn't great. Tastes like stevia.
