Tips

  • The shootout here involved a group of "lawmen," including Wyatt Earp and his brothers Morgan and Virgil along with Doc Hollliday, pitted against the Clanton and McLaury gangs.
  • Showtime is at 2pm. Arrive at about 1:20 and check out the historama at 1:30. $10 gets you the historama, the gunfight show, entrance to museum and historic newspaper too!
  • Make sure you have the pamphlet they give you about the graveyard. It helps you identify the graves and lists what most of them died from.
  • Make sure to check out what time the gun shows are, we got there too late!
  • The gunfight is re-enacted daily at this location for tourists, although the actual shooting part took place a few doors away.
  • Lawmen Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday & the Earp Brothers against the outlaw Cowboys, who lost the fight and are buried in Tombstones Boot Hill Cemetery.
  • Site of the most famous gunfight of the Old West, 1881, in Tombstone, Arizona at the O.K. Corral.
  • Great photo op and story for you to tell when you get home. Make sure to stop, even if you don't get to see a gunfight.
  • Checking out the OK corral
  • The comedy gun shoot out is fun. The key is to participate with the actors. By the way my dog isn't a $2. Poodle -- she's a bichion.
  • Pennies here
  • Check out the gun fight
  • #whiteDino.com says bring you camera!
  • I'll Be Your Huckleberry!!! :)
  • More of a tourist trap than the old west town they claim it to be. Most of the items now sold are overpriced costume jewelry.
  • Don't waste your money. Very difficult to hear & not very engaging. If you do buy a ticket do not go to top bleachers, the street noise is very loud & overbearing to actors who do not use microphones
  • They hide all of the Starbucks stores inside Target stores in Sierra vista!
  • Tensions between Wyatt Earp and the Cowboys explode in the famous Gunfight at the OK Corral. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/features/timeline/wyatt/
  • $6 for the movie and $10 for the gunfight.
