Tips
- One of the few places in the city where you can park with your laptop and work while enjoying your coffee.
- Wifi pw: 700east9
- The first specialty coffeehouse in NY. Awesome, awesome coffee, and the baristas as well as the caffeine addicted customers are super friendly.
- Great for working during the week. More busy on the weekend, obviously.
- Love the Ave. C location for working/reading on a weekend. Some of the best coffee in the city.
- Owner Ken Nye is often credited as the first person to bring serious coffee to New York City in 2001.
- raving reviews all around. It is the best espresso in the city, no doubt.
- Great people & atmosphere. Best moment: a cup of their amazing brew on their little porch on a sunny, breezy day.
- their lattes are unlike any other. as soon as i finish one, i immediately want another. i cant think of a better sunday spot, or any day for that matter.
- You can ask Mark to make you a caffe ole, with skim milk and it costs leas than a latte and tastes just as nice.
- This location of Ninth Street has free wi-fi and ample space to unpack your laptop and hunker down for a bit. A great rainy day spot to warm up with a coffee and get some work done.
- WARNING: Celebrities, notably Jason Schwartzman, have been known to receive preferential treatment here. If your barista is dawdling with your latte to favor his, tell her to "rush more."
- If you love drip coffee, ask for a pour-over of the Guatemalan....and drink it black! The Brazilian and Costa Rican are best as espresso with milk.
- great place to do work although they don't have any outlets. the baristas are so awesome and will let you work all day. :)
- Super pleasant chill place to work.
- They specially design their coffee beans and send the orders to brazil to be harvested. The Alphabet City blend is fantastic!
- Wi-fi is free, and you may see Jason Schwartzman from Bottlerocket there. He lives nearby.
- 4mbps D and .55mbps U
- Best cup in the East Village, if not New York City.
- I come here almost every day now. Not only is the coffee amazing - the place itself is great too. The barristers are really friendly and cool...read more on my blog
