Foursquare Tips

  • MoCA shows a wide range of Chinese contemporary artwork alongside international exhibitions. Its glass walls make for an even more enjoyable time when the sunlight shines through. Admission is 15RMB.
  • Dior exhibit was amazing! the dresses to the set design, every display was well thought out and planned.
  • Famous Chinese director's micro shots and videos. Interesting perspective.
  • The place I went to, in the park, only had 2 artists on display. I enjoyed their work, but most people seemed to be there for the rooftop patio. Did I miss a whole wing or something?
  • Sometimes a good idea. Only 15rmb entrance too.
  • Culture Chanel, a month-long exhibition, will run through Mar 14. It showcases 400+ designer pieces, artworks, manuscripts and films.worldwide.
  • Abstracts flowers of Shanghai showing now with the Mona Lisa for kids. Good but small museum though
  • After 18-00 ticket price 20yuan only!
  • Try coming late (the place closes @9pm) you will be able to enjoy it quietly
  • Many different show throughout the year to be enjoyed
  • Beautiful contemporary art museum located in People's Park. We visited the "Shan Shui within" exhibition (contemporary chineese artists). Among many interesting works, I liked the Pan Xi at most.
  • . . .
  • As of July 2016 expect installation art not as cool as the images being shown on foursquare. No dot sticker room or infinity room exhibits. Cheap entry fee though!
  • They don't accept visa cards for payment the entrance fee, I mean, c'mon it's a tourist place! I couldn't get in as I didn't have enough cash. Such a pity!
  • After the very expensive entrance fee I could not believe how shallow the art exhibition was. Definitely do not go. For modern art, go to Beijing.
  • A decently sized museum, more like a gallery space. Spend a few hours and then go up to the second floor cafe for a nice aerial view of People's Park.
  • Free admission voucher at many hotels!
  • 50
  • No free wifi, the ones nearby are difficult to get. Entrance is 50 which only worth if you really enjoy modern and Oriental art. Is a pretty short exhibition 1 hour aprox.
