Tips

  • Drink a beer in the sunshine as a train rumbles by. West Oakland at its best.
  • Very chill spot to be, even on Friday afternoons. Seating is great and the restaurant next door is superb.
  • Drink Hop Candi all day.
  • Bring your own (empty) growler & they'll fill it for you!
  • @ #Hieroday planting seeds w/ Youth Urban farm project.
  • Friendly people, delicious beer
  • Great beers in an awesome space with plenty of outdoor area to hang out. Between Fist of Flour, Tina Tamale & Chop Bar you won't go hungry.
  • Nice imperial stout, but they charged me for more than I actually tipped.
  • Just had an IPA that was decent. I think they are improving.
  • Saturday and Sunday vibes are great. The owner/brewmaster are typically the "bartenders". Bring a few friends and have a few rounds.
  • They have some good ass Asian fusion food. Limited wine selections, but there's enough to get drunk so. Great beer selection. Copious amounts of outdoor seating and a view.
  • The brewery has very limited hours but totally worth going to.
  • Great beer in a great setting. Try their latest brews, feast at the food truck (rotated daily) & repeat.
  • Hop Candi and New Oakland Glow are really good day drinking beers, if that's your thing.
  • Great laid back brewery. The Russian Imperial Seasonal Stout was amazing. At $1 for a 3oz cup it's a no brainer.
  • The beer, the people, the atmosphere all are great
  • Nothing beats Burning Oak Black Lager.
  • The Dock at the brewery has the best Tapas. Try the jerk wings, Po' boy and the cucumber salad
  • The beer, the food, the Trappist royalty in exile.
  • Try the chorizo fries at The Beer Shed
