A landmark restaurant in the Portland dining scene, and the nation’s for that matter, is Jake’s Famous Crawfish on SW 12th Ave. in Portland. With over 110 years in service, it’s been serving up some of the best seafood from the northwest, becoming a tradition that’s unanimous with quality.

Some of the favorite dishes by diehard fans of Jake’s include Jake’s Étouffée, a dish of crawfish, chicken, and shrimp, served in a rich sauce, and the Alaskan Halibut Cheeks, seared in a picatta-like sauce (lemon, capers). Other classic seafood plates that they churn out daily include cod fish and chips, Oregon chilled spiced crawfish, and a special dish recommended by the chef, the wild Oregon rockfish, a local fish, seared with Oregon crabmeat, rum and garlic, served with asparagus and mashed potatoes.

  • I'm Jose Rios, and I approve the French Onion soup.
  • The muscles is definitely to die for!
  • Chicken sandwich all day!
  • Serving haute fish since 1892. Get the stuffed salmon, moan and avoid desserts.
  • It is mussels not muscles
  • HH starts at 10p! Most everything is good but avoid the seafood cake and ahi roll (basically just a ball of rice)
  • Over 100 year old seafood restaurant, great food, great service and the atmosphere will transport you to the good ol' days
  • Jake's first opened for business in 1892. Hooray history!
  • wifi password = "thankyou"
  • Great crab cakes!!
  • Definitely try the specials
  • Try the Oven Roasted Stuffed Pacific Salmon - Stuffed with Oregon Dungeouness crab, Oregon bay shrimp and Brie, with Dill Buerre Blanc sauce
  • Try the Wild Salmon stuffed with Crab meat topped with Beurre Blanc
  • Had the horseradish salmon and wasn't very impressed. Mediocre experience given all the hype
  • Bartenders wear a tie, so are probably better dressed than me when I go in, but they don't make a big deal of it. The best happy hour food menu/value in Portland. Old school drink wizards.
  • If you need to eat your feelings, the truffle cake sundae is the way to go. The candied walnuts will change your world...
  • Fresh petrale sole ...great. served hot crusted with panko ...yum
  • I tried the chilled crawfish here for the first time, and it's actually not bad.
  • In order to get the "free" menu item you have to follow rules NOT stated on the check in special. Bastards!
  • Top notch seafood tacos!
