Foursquare Tips

  • take a nap in those huge chairs by the windows when you walk in. they're perfect!
  • Those glass study rooms are not sound proof. If you feel like singing off-key to your favorite song, just know that we're all listening to you.
  • The food at the cafe sucks
  • If there are idiots that are taking whole study rooms to themselves, just grab someone that works there and they'll kick the person out so that your group can use the room.
  • By far my favorite place to study here.
  • The Special Collections Library is host to the Mitsugi Kasai Japanese American Archives, which focuses on the history of Japanese-Americans in the West. Check out this C-SPAN video for more info.
  • Skip the conference rooms and find a table deep in the stacks. Its quieter and people won't bother you
  • Don't be a inconsiderate prick, silence your phone.
  • The Special Collections Library hosts the Wallace Stegner Collection. Stegner wrote extensively about the need to preserve the American West. Learn more about the collection through this C-SPAN video.
  • Mariott Library, my second home.
  • Great place for a nap
  • Play in the water between classes on a hot day.
  • Awesome study room, 1st floor, northwest corner!
  • Huge, quiet, awesome view, don't need an ID.
  • Right as you walk in, the chairs on the far right are the Womb Chairs (by Eero Saarinen for Knoll) in case you wanted to buy one after graduating. (Be prepared to pay about $4k though)
  • My fave study spot in SLC:)
  • Try the white chocolate mocha from moms cafe.... Soooo good
  • Best place on campus.
  • If you are really looking for a quiet place to get away and study go to the back right corners in the quiet part on the third floor. There are two books tucked away.
