Planning a trip to Oregon? Wondering where to eat? Looking for a restaurant in your area that features Oregon wine? You’re in luck!

One of the most highly anticipated lists of the year was released in January by the Oregon Wine Board. The 2017 Oregon Wine A-List Awards recognizes restaurants across the world that enthusiastically support Oregon wine and show an appreciation for the diverse regions and varietals of Oregon. This year’s list includes over 90 restaurants in Oregon and the rest of America. It is wonderful to see so much support for Oregon wine around the country!

Here’s a secret: When I’m looking for Oregon wine to feature at my Cellar 503 wine club, I pop into these restaurants to uncover what hot new finds the local chefs and sommeliers have discovered. Check out a few of my faves:

Portland is a foodie town! Just take a look at any of the rankings of the country’s best cities to eat in, and Portland comes up every time. If you’re looking for a restaurant that also has an extensive, Oregon-focused wine list, check out Tasty N Sons (3808 N Williams Ave C, Portland, OR 97227). This inventive, small-plate restaurant consistently offers creative dishes like house-made pickles, Dungeness crab flatbread, and spicy barbecue pork ribs – with wines to complement each one!

Hood River, Oregon, is just 45 minutes east of Portland in the wild and beautiful Columbia Gorge. Surrounded by stunning scenery and lush farm country, this region is well worth exploring. The main street in Hood River is loaded with quaint shops, wine tasting rooms, and excellent restaurants. One standout is Celilo Restaurant (16 Oak St, Hood River, OR 97031), consistently producing excellent dishes paired with wines from the Columbia Gorge and across Oregon.

Looking for a stop while visiting the Oregon Coast? The Stephanie Inn (2740 S Pacific St, Cannon Beach, OR 97110) is a must! This gorgeous hotel has been named one of the world’s best by Travel & Leisure. The inventive, hyper-local cuisine featured in its restaurant is a wonderful match for the extensive Oregon-focused wine list – and there is no better view of the Oregon Coast than from the decks!

Southern Oregon is one of my favorite places to visit. Rolling hills and winding rivers, gorgeous blue skies, amazing entertainment at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, stellar restaurants, and a high-quality wine community – hard to ask for anything more! If you find yourself in Ashland, Oregon, make sure to check out Lark’s Home Kitchen Cuisine (212 East Main St, Ashland, OR 97520). Its extensive wine list highlights many nearby wineries to support the local community. With its large windows overlooking Main Street and its creative, comfort-food-inspired menu, this is a must-visit when in Southern Oregon.

If your travels take you into the heart of Oregon wine country, make sure to plan a stop at Babica Hen Cafe (1410 N HWY 99W, Dundee, OR 97115). Meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free food-lovers alike will all find something delicious on its creative menu. Request a seat next to the stunning fireplace and enjoy a hearty, farm-to-table meal paired with some of the best wines in the area.

With over 90 restaurants on the Oregon Wine A-List Awards list this year, it’s hard to go wrong. And if Oregon doesn’t fit into your travel schedule this year, take a look at its list of restaurants around the country that highlight Oregon wines. You’ll find A-Listers in Orlando, Boston, Omaha, St. Louis, Chicago, New York, Dallas, and more. Check’em out!
