Foursquare Tips

  • They put crab ON the swordfish. They put crab in the Mac and Cheese. They put crab in the asparagus. My waiter was an Alaskan King Crab. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. So choice.
  • Love this place and there is even one in Naperville!

  • You can order from the Gibson's menu at Hugo's and vice versa since they share a kitchen.
  • My favorite restaurant ever! People working in the restaurant who help you wash your hands!
  • Seamus was a great server if u ask for him he'll give you very prompt professional service, you should mention you asked for him because of foursquare he will remember :)
  • Holy cow. Melty Mac and cheese, andouille sausage finished with LA crawfish
  • Tuna tar tar. Yum!
  • If you are a veg lover, ask for the grilled vegetarian entree - it's not on the menu! Asparagus, tomato, mushroom, onion broccoli and peppers. Perfecto!
  • Chris M was an awesome bartender, real nice friendly guy.
  • Don't get the hash browns. They taste like burnt smoked cardboard.
  • Old-school classics are prepared well; we like the frog legs with garlic butter, clams casino (baked clams topped with bread crumbs and bacon) and smoked salmonheat-smoked rather than cured.
  • Amazing old school sea food joint in the Windy City. Order anything you want. It's all great.
  • Ask for Raoul! Worth the wait, this server is absolutely wonderful!!
  • We recommend a Bloody Mary, Stuffed Lobster and Crabmeat Avocado! Delish!
  • Wonderful service! Free crab cake that was to die for, don't even like seafood. Steaks come from Gibson's, so worth the price. Again, the service there is awesome. Save room for their monster desserts
  • Try the frog legs, but watch out for the pop! (no free refills)
  • The crab cakes are great! Actual real lumps of crab. Not much filler. The filet is incredibly tender. And the chargrilled shrimp is well seasoned. Be sure to get a reservation, even on weeknights!
  • My favorite happy hour venue. Dollar oysters from 3-6pm, with half price wine, you can't go wrong. Old world service & atmosphere. Right in the heart of GoldCoast Chicago.
  • The lump crab dish and sauteed frog legs were outstanding!
