Where we go for our Nutella calzone fix. Never heard of it? TRY IT. It's also a perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail after work -- just be careful the wax from the giant candles doesn't ruin your drink!

Don't come here and pretend that you're not going to have pizza. In the end you're not just going to have a margarita pizza... You're going to go for the truffle pizza. Just stating the facts....

Because it's attached to the Bowery Hotel, Gemma is a classy yet easy spot for celeb spotting. People I've met here include Thom Yorke and David Byrne. Keep your eyes peeled.

The truffle pizza is amazing, and the watercress / pear salad (add grilled chicken) is fantastic.

Full Disclaimer: My husband is an owner of this hotel. That being said, I still find it a top notch place to sit down and enjoy a hearty breakfast over coffee and the paper.

Ask for their fancy osmosis water. Get the bubbles of course.

The food is real good. Half the staff must be instructed to act like pricks, because they are way too consistent about it for it to be a mistake.

The Contadina pizza: eggs, mushrooms, Fontina, truffle oil with prosciutto or bacon. Yum.

Good Italian with great ambiance and frequent celebrity spottings (Jessica Biel, Chris Cooper). Go in summer and eat outside! (3 of 4 petals via Fondu)

NY. Gemmas location in the Bowery Hotel and menu make it a great place to dine with friends. Sidewalk seating in the summer is a bonus. Must try: the burrata, grape tomato & black olive pizza.

Enjoy people watching on a warm evening & dine al fresco. The service is a bit slow but we love the Watermelon & Ricotta Salata and the Linguini Frutti Di Mare. Reservations for hotel guests only.

I dined there last week before clubbing. The best Italian Restaurant in New York hands down. Ambiance, Food, and Service was impeccable.
