While many people visit Denver for picturesque scenery, world-class venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater and beautiful weather, the Mile High City is becoming a destination in other respects too. In the past few years, we have hosted one-of-a-kind exhibits at the Denver Art Museum, the Colorado Convention Center and more. The success of these events have made the city a popular stop for other exhibitions. Here are five marquee events that Denver visitors should not miss out on this year.

People come in from all over the Rocky Mountain region to cosplay, mingle and meet their heroes. This year’s event will include panels and appearances by Nichelle Nichols of Star Trek fame, Cary Elwes and Patrick Warburton, among others. Always a sports city, this year’s event will also include a special super hero panel with the Colorado Avalanche. Tickets start at $35 for a single-day pass. Get them early!
