Tips

  • Breakfast selections are hidden on the menu but worth finding and served all day. Try the red chile tamal and the scrambled eggs and green chile! Delicious!
  • Love the seca beef. Very different.
  • The Costilla ribs are phenomenal
  • They dry their Carne Seca on the roof under the Tucson sun. Que rico!
  • Amazing enchiladas and huge selection of gluten free dishes!
  • Being a regular customer here, I am disappointed that they pulled the lunch menu today (Thurs) to cash in on holiday travelers. No bueno El Charro :(
  • Best chips in town!
  • I just ate a pumpkin tamale....AMAZING!
  • The tamales are great!
  • Take some salsa home with you! Buy it in the gift shop...
  • If you're in the mood for Mexican go no further. The Barbacoa tacos are awesome. This place is popular so make a reservation.
  • Get the Carne Seca Chimichanga. Anything else and you might as well be eating somewhere else.
  • Est. 1922. Claims to have invented the Chimichanga.
  • Carne Seca, enough said.
  • Margaritas, lovely patio area!
  • Ceviche and huevos rancheros
  • A higher level of Mexican food. Was a great choice. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
  • Chilaquiles were excellent, the owner also dropped off a sample of the calbacitas which was a new thing for me, and it was great!
  • Great Mexican food! The enchiladas banderas are very good.
  • Carne Asada Chimichanga are absolute delicious.
