  • Go to Cucharamama and order the tamale with slab bacon. Make your dinner companion have the tamale with duck.
  • Tamal de Pipian Vallecaucano is the best !!!
  • Lots of awards for Cucharamama. Maricel Presilla, the chef behind this restaurant, won a James Beard Award in 2012. New Jersey Monthly named it one of the 25 best restaurants in the state in 2011.
  • Skirt steak is amazeballs.
  • Churrasco is finger-licking good. Chocolate flan and apple crepes for dessert. Yum!
  • Soooooooo good. Not cheap by Hoboken standards but you can tell the money goes into good ingredients. Phenomenal for a nice dinner. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu)
  • Don't sit outside! Air conditioner condensation drips from above and pesky gnats all around. Yuck!
  • Amazing colombian tamale, and the short braised rib is soo tender it slips of bone! Thumbs up!
  • Short rib for the win! Holy Mole good.
  • Don't waste your time making a reservation, they do not honor it and we will have to wait for a table to open up.
  • The braised short rib is a must, but no matter what you get it's probably going to be delicious.

  • Simply amazing!!! Wow!Everything we ordered was so delicious and memorable. Legit licked every plate clean. Truly worth the trip wherever you are in the tri-state area!
  • Skirt steak was great. Lots of good small plates. Enchiladas were very good and get the beef and spinach ones. Don't forget the quinoa chicken fingers.
  • Very lucky to meet chef Maricel and enjoy the incredible service from her staff. South America in a plate. Just close your eyes and point at anything on the menu. Will go back without a doubt.
  • Great food but line can be long and it's pricey. Brunch is usually less crowded and inexpensive
