Tips

  • Get crunked.
  • They now have a cocktail menu... try something Gary invented, and use it to wash down the spicy peanuts!
  • Ask for the bartender Nathaniel Wescott. He's awesome!
  • To go out here is a nightmare. Only 2 bartenders and they're five deep? Really? I can appreciate a busy bar, but it's tough to wait 30 minutes to even close your tab.
  • This place is friendly and gorgeous. Give it a try.
  • Get the bartender's choice. Nathaniel Wescott will read your mind!
  • Dusty cactus... Yes!
  • The best barrel aged cocktails in North Carolina hands down.
  • A proper Moscow Mule
  • Elderflower sour. Ahhhhmazing
  • Just get an old-fashioned or a sazerac. You'll leave happy. Also talk to Ant if you like music:):)
  • Classy place that's accordingly pricey. Really good cocktails. Get the Duclaw Sweet Baby Jesus if they have it on draft - peanut butter chocolate stout.
  • They have Pappy Vanwinkle in stock
  • Both the Jefferson's and Jefferson's Rye pair well with a game of pool. Play for a shot of Pappy Van Winkle!
  • Blood and Sand is a cheaper (but delicious) option if you like an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan
  • Gary the bartender is top-notch.
  • Barrel aged negronis = maybe greatest thing in life ever. Worth the price, if you enjoy having your mind blown.
  • Imbibe Magazine listed the Crunkleton as having one of the Best Whiskey Offerings in the South in their March/April 2011 Southern Issue.
  • Make sure they don't give you their homemade brown tonic.
  • The singapore sling is done right here! Best drink ever.
