Foursquare Tips

  • Banana Pudding Creme Brule FTW!
  • This hip down-home Southern joint in the midst of the urban campus of VCU attracted the attention of Bon Appetite, the New York Times and many Richmond locals.
  • Fried Okra
  • Definitely come in for lunch, reasonable portioning and better prices. My recommendation: Pulled Pork BBQ, Mac n Cheese, Green Beans.
  • Try the fried green tomatoes, they are to die for!
  • Best fried catfish in town. But Save room for the banana pudding (creme brle). In fact ask them to hold one for you so they don't run out.
  • The name says it all. If you want comfort food this is the place to go
  • Fried Green Tomatoes and Catfish!
  • get there early! no call ahead, no reservations!
  • Our waitress was awesome! Had the meatloaf with mash and braised greens... Great dinner with wonderful friends!
  • Try the Blackened Salmon With Mashed Potatoes And Mac And Cheese - Holy god this was excellent as usual!
  • The banana pudding is served creme brulee style, with the bananas caramelized, it is truly amazing!
  • Talk To Sput
  • Great food, concept well executed.
  • Squash casserole, meatloaf, fried catfish, squash casserole, squash casserole
  • The squash casserole is amazing! And of course the meatloaf!
  • Sides come family-style for larger parties, so you have to decide what you want as a group
  • Try the Fried Catfish - Salty, yummy, fresh
  • After two separate meals at Comfort, I don't think I'll be back. Overpriced and *WAY* too salty.
  • Great meatloaf! Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes! best meal on town
