Christian Louboutin is taking their red-soled heels for a plunge in the bubbly waters of your bathroom for the latest Spring 2015 lookbook/campaign. And we have to admit they do look pretty good submerged beneath flower petals or propped up against the tub’s edge—even if the mere thought of dropping our stilettos into water sends us into a sartorial panic. Inspired by a wide variety of sources including the architecture of the American Southwest and Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita, the collection is saturated with bright colors, heavy textures and aquatic themes throughout.
Photographed by Peter Lippmann, the images are part of a brand campaign reminding women that they should never “take off their Louboutins.” Which we have to admit we partially agree with. The morning commute? Yes. The walk to the office? Sure. The bedroom? Yeah, okay. But the bathroom? We love a Louboutin as much as the next girl, but unless we’re trying to seduce Prince Eric, Little Mermaid-style, this is probably a no go.
