It may feel like summer has just ended, but the onset of holiday decorations and Christmas carols tell a different story. Our favorite brands are already ready for the gift-giving season with a plethora of glittering campaigns and holiday gift sets. The latest from Chanel features the Collection Rouge Noir Absolument, a limited-edition lineup that celebrates not only the holidays, but the 20th anniversary of one of the Parisian label’s most iconic shades. Rouge Noir started as a polish color in 1995 and since then has exploded into a Chanel classic alongside tweeds and pearls.
The Chanel Holiday 2015 collection offers the shade in almost every product, giving the pieces a dark, dramatic edge. The collection includes a well-rounded mix of nail lacquers (including one in a Christmas-appropriate glitter), eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, lip glosses, mascaras, blushes and foundations. In the campaign’s accompanying video we get to see the color being used to the fullest extent and while it seems a little excessive for the holidays, we can’t think of anything we would rather have in our stocking on Christmas morning.
