Tips

  • "You could spend a long time trying to discern exactly what has gone into the clear, light broth that makes Cay Tre's pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) stand out..."
  • Best Vietnamese I've been to in London
  • Chilli salt & pepper squid would be my last meal if I ever have to choose.
  • shaking beef. no substitutes - heaven
  • No east London food guide is complete without Vietnamese and for vegetarians Cy Tre is up there. Mushroom pho is a good alternative to the meat fave and their unique veg spring rolls are delicious.
  • One of the pricier Vietnamese places but worth it. Always busy.
  • Big fish are always a winner here - banana leaf wrapped Mackerel.
  • My mushroom pho was great, although I had the sinking feeling that it was made with chicken broth. Strict veggies/vegans beware!
  • Food is just ok, the quality of the meat (beef and pork) could be better. Tables and chairs are not so clean. Authentic but too expensive.
  • You all realise this is overpriced, horribly muted Vietnamese food, right? Okay.
  • Food is awesome!
  • Tried the Saigon Pho with extra tendon, just blew my mind! And the Vietnamese ice coffee is just the right intensity and sweetness too!
  • Nice food with good atmosphere. The portion of pork belly is huge and so tasty. Will def go back to try more other main dish. Not so impressed with the beef pho.
  • Pho. Chilli salt and pepper squid / soft shell crab.
  • Legit Vietnamese. Order everything.
  • Excellent Pho and noodle bowls. Summer (rice paper) rolls have more lettuce/mint filling than noodles so tasty and healthy.
  • Absolutely phenomenal Vietnamese food, authentic as in Hanoi. Classic pho, chilli pork belly and the aubergine are all top choices.
  • Top, high quality Vietnamese. Replaced Tay Do as my favourite due to their audacious price hike.
  • Roast pork vermicelli was amazing. Really tender and well seasoned pork. As close to home cooked as you can get, according to someone that knows what that tastes like.
  • Good food but pricey, noisy and cramped table. Kingsland road is better
