  • On 11/10/11, I was here for the opening of this $25 million exhibition & visitors center, which will also house the Navy Yard's expanded employment program to create local jobs:
  • Be sure to visit the 4th floor cafe. The views alone are worth it. I'd imagine this is a phenomenal event space.
  • Really cool interactive museum.
  • The view from the fourth floor rear by the Ted and Honey Cafe is great
  • Great for a history of Bklyn navy yards & local industry
  • Beautiful building and nice area.
  • Interesting history, but presented in a way that was a bit overwhelming. Time lapse of Wallabout Bay on the first floor was cool.
  • Open in Wed to Sun...I came on Mon...:(
  • Check out the view on the top floor.
  • Visit the exhibition on the Yard's past, present, and future, and check out their amazing interactive map and timeline gallery to see how this place has changed over the centuries - and join a tour!
  • The round interactive timeline map on the first floor is totally worth spending time with. Tons of great stories embedded in displays here, so read the wall text!
  • Designed by Philadelphia architect Thomas U. Walter in 1857., Building 92 now houses exhibits on the Brooklyn Navy Yards two centuries of military and industrial history.
  • great place to visit
