- 19. Tuna tartare at Michael Mina (from 7x7's 100 Things to Try Before You Die | http://tr.im/7x7list)
- Michael Mina has brought steak to the next level, importing rare cuts from all over the world, in addition to sourcing from local purveyors right here in the Bay Area.
- ...use opentable way in advance & once here go with the Tasting Menu (6 course) and add/substitute 5th Course with Wagyu Beef. Truly incredible...
- for great value and flavor, go for the ribeye. better yet, convince someone to go splitty-splitty with the lobster pot pie.
- Get the whiskey flight!
- Outstanding steaks, great fries and an awesome wine list. Be sure to check out the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons ^ac
- Bourbon, drink of kings, & steak, sustenance of the gods. A. List tip? You can't go wrong with the lobster corn dogs, dry-aged beef burger, or, of course, any of the steaks.
- I've had the Ahi tuna tartare both times I've been here. Absolutely amazing. Mixed with Asian pear, pine nuts, quail egg and served with toast points, it's a sensory experience for your taste buds.
- Get the ahi tartar! Sounds simple, but it is amazing. A staff favorite apparently, and mine too!
- Try the Lobster Pot Pie
- Try the Jidori Egg
- Wagyu style rib cap is, possibly, the best steak I've ever had.
- Get the full California "foodie" experience with these steaks, which are the perfect combination of spice, sweetness, acidity and richness.
- Perfect Margarita
- Happy hour from 5:30 - 6:30
- Pan seared soft shell crab and a sweet corn crepe are quite delicious if on the menu again.
- Get: Brussels sprouts for a side
- I got food poisonning just 3 hours after having dinner, the westin st francis hotel staff was noticed and told me that it wasn't the first time that this has happened to a hotel guest
