Tips
- Kevin Bludso specializes in thick hunks of slow-cooked cow. There is a sweet, peppery sauce, but the beef ribs and the coarse sausage don't need it.
- Best bbq in LA hands down. Everything from the ribs and sliced brisket, to the sides and deserts. Hey folks, it's finga lickin GOOD.
- Tummy aching from all that bbq'd meat? Try the Fernet on tap.
- Yeah. They run out of meat. So call ahead.
- Peach cobbler was amazing summer dessert
- Stealthily the most puppy friendly restaurant in LA. Just ask for sidewalk & get your pup best brisket in SoCal. I guarantee your pooch will be over the moon with delight.
- Awesome food! Laid back. Full bar with limited mixers. Take a friend and the brisket is to die for!
- Being from the South I wasn't sure what to expect of "LA BBQ". Over the top impressed with the brisket! The ribs are fabulous & the sides are all amazing. Even the sweet tea was great!
- The sides are pretty mediocre, but the meat is OUTSTANDING.
- Displaced vegetarian? Get veg side dishes: cole slaw, mac n cheese, potato salad and pickles.
- The julep on tap is really mint bourbon that they then mix with soda water, sugar and bitters.
- They run out of meat so call ahead!! LOL.
- Try the smoked brisket sandwich. A spiced char encases the dark pink meat hiding beneath; it's an uncanny re-creation of Texas' finest 'cue.
- Kevin Bludso traces his barbecue heritage back to the Lone Star state. You can taste that pedigree in each bite of his slow-cooked, smoked brisket sandwich.
- Amazing BBQ! Get the PBR Margarita.
- When Freddy's sold out, it landed on La Brea. Enjoy!
- Very tasty Brisket & pork ribs. Love the mac n cheese, collard greens & banana pudding for desert. Service is good. Acoustics give way to place being a little loud but its also just popular too.
- Mac & cheese is a must! Also surprisingly excellent margaritas!
- Get there at 5pm. No crowd and the food comes out fast.
