Foursquare Tips

  • You can't go wrong with the shrimp touffe
  • The chicken and andouille gumbo was great. Wait staff is friendly and offers free samples
  • They have the real deal, authentic muffulettas and po'boys here. You won't find anything else quite like it in Philadelphia.
  • Jambalaya!!!
  • Train wreck Po Boy was delightful. Gumbo is always great!
  • You must try the Train Wreck Po Boy or the Jambalaya bowl. Be sure to get a loaf of cornbread! The Train Wreck Po Boy is an excellent hangover cure.
  • Can't go wrong with their alligator sausage!
  • etoufee seemed to be skimping on the crawfish/shrimp, but it definitely packed a flavorful punch. Wasn't really a fan of the Mac n cheese. Pretty mushy and not much flavor.
  • The Alfredo can't be beat!
  • Try the jambalaya bowl. It tastes great and it's only $7.
  • Try everything! This place is the best.
  • Alligator po boy. What what!
  • The Shrimp po' boy is great, and the jambalaya, too. They'll let you sample pretty much anything, just ask for a taste!
  • Fried Mac and cheese. Try it without the sauce they give you; I think it's better
  • Glory hallelujah! This is cajun food the way I like it!
  • The jambalaya is good.
  • Try the Alligator Gumbo - My fav (via @Foodspotting)
  • The gumbo is killer, but don't forget about the bread pudding that's smothered in heavenly whiskey sauce.
  • For a quick and flavorful lunch - get the tasty gambalaya (gumbo on top of the jambalaya). And don't forget the side of fried mac and cheese!
  • The fried Mac n cheese balls and the gator gumbo are very good, but the bread pudding is the business. Probably one of the best I've had. The only place in Philly to buy Zapp's Voodoo Heat chips.
