  • Opened in 1904, the conservatory is open to the public free of charge every day of the year. It is the nation's oldest conservatory and covers more than an acre with a central dome 85 feet high.
  • Great place to see beauty. Stop in to see; butterflies way land on you literally. Love this place

  • Go to the Conservatory when the weather doesn't cooperate. It's the best place to go to warm up, feel some tropical humidity, and see some pretty spectacular flora and fauna.

  • The pond is closed in the winter and won't be an attraction until late spring once the snow melts, but the rest of the exhibit is amazing. Be sure to check out the orange trees this year, and be care
  • If you visit in the winter, be sure to prepare for fogging of glasses and/or camera lenses. Also, you'll probably want to take your coat off. Appreciate all the little details of the plants.
