- Most of the snacks on chef Jason Marcuss often-changing menu are $10 or less. Snag a table on the lush back patio, & feast with the knowledge youre filling your belly without emptying your wallet.
- The fried chicken with dumplings and gravy is off the charts
- Allison is legit the best server ever. If you have her waiting on you tonight, considered yourself blessed. Oh and get everything .
- They should rename this place Troof! Best tuna tartare I've ever had and the short rib sliders/sweet potato fries combo completely blew our minds. One of the best restaurants in Brooklyn.
- Not a single complaint to make about even one of the 9 dishes we ordered. You need to get the ribs, fois gras, tuna tartare, bacon doughnuts and everything else on the menu like yesterday ago.
- Do the chef special if it's your 1st time. They take good care of you.
- The name translates to forbidden in Yiddish. Try Jason Marcus' eclectic pork and shellfish creations for dinner or brunch. Closed Mon. - Green Guide Editor

- Exciting pork driven menu. Traif (meaning the opposite of Kosher) puts together an affordable menu of small and large plates that are so unique in cuisine style.
- You will likely forget about the sacrilege once your table is covered with plates of the deliciously unclean eggs scrambled with lobster and mascarpone ($14), a few pork dishes and bacon doughnuts.
- You can't really go wrong here. But don't leave without getting the bacon doughnuts.
- I'm still dreaming of the meal I had here last weekend. Dishes that stood out were the tuna with tempura Japanese eggplant, the baked muenster, pork belly, ribs, the seared scallops. Get everything!
- Can't go wrong with the menu. Sit at the bar for an awesome view of the chefs. My red pearl cocktail was baller.
