Αθήνα, Αττική

  • Greeks used to pour libations and to deposit primitive figurines of the deities worshiped to the temple of Athena Nike.
  • The Temple of the Athena Victory (Wingless Victory), was built circa 420 BC in commemoration of the victory of the Greeks against the Persians.
  • El pequeo templo erigido con un estilo jnico albergaba una imagen de Atenea Nik, smbolo de la victoria, a la que se le cortaron las alas para que la fuera imposible abandonar Atenas.
  • Beautiful, more delicate; dedicated to the goddesses of ancient Greek. Make a full walk around, back sidebis different than front.
  • Patrimonio Cultural Mundial
  • Go early as possible. Crowds crazy
  • Just like all the sites in Athens, its ruined and visually unimpressive. Some sort of guide highly recommended to make it more interesting.
