Foursquare Tips

  • Andrew Zimmern sampled wood-smoked pulled pork bacon and pulled pork with pig skin at this restaurant located in Charleston's deep low country. As seen on Bizarre Foods America.
  • Thrillist Top BBQ List: BBQ'd pork has been a cultish hit, making the spot a pilgrimage destination for BBQ aficionados all over the East. But, seriously though, get that side of fried skins.
  • The best bbq on terra firma.
  • Vinegar based and spicy hot but loved it just make sure you get lots of white bread and a drink
  • Put a local spin on classic 'cue by mastering the "wrap around": order the barbeque sandwich for a half-pound of sauced barbeque pulled pork wrapped with a slice of white bread.
  • Great barbecue
  • The pulled pork is energetically seasoned with salt, red and black peppers, and Accent while cooking; the skin is offered in its smoky state or after it's plunged in the deep fryer as cracklings.
  • I'll treat myself twice a year to this though it's only a short distance from me. Pork BBQ has a robust smoke aroma with notes of hickory and oak. Traditional vinegar based mop sauce. Just good.
  • Great whole hog BBQ
  • Good BBQ. Good flavor. Could offer more sides. Only beans and coleslaw.
  • Picnicking across the street
  • The prices seemed high, til I saw how much food I got and tasted how good it is!
  • Great place to get real BBQ. not much seating, more of a pickup place than a restaurant. Some seating tho and parking area with picnic table.
  • Pull pork and crackling
  • Put a local spin on classic 'cue by mastering the "wrap around": Order the barbeque sandwich for a half-pound of sauced barbeque pulled pork wrapped with a slice of white bread.
  • Made our South's Best List! Order the whole hog with a side of skins, it's second to none in South Carolina.
