Tips

  • Eat everything! Sit at the counter & you will be entertained. For privacy, opt for the back room.
  • Youll miss all the action if you ask for a table in the dining room. Request a seat at the counter. - Inspector
  • Try the Fluke Carpaccio
  • Get a bit of sashimi, but make sure to tear through the rest of the menu (which is nothing short of heavenly). If you walk out thinking it's a sushi restaurant, you ordered wrong.
  • Join in the festivities and grab a place a the bar, youll be immensely entertained. Get either the tasting menu or the omakasepray they serve you the filet of cod.
  • The toilet is fantastic. the food is too... but the toilet!
  • gotta order the asparagus wrapped in white fish and pine nuts.
  • Try the Shrimp Shumai
  • One of the best date places in NYC. You want to make sure to get seated around the communal table so you can watch the chefs in action. Get the crab rice, it takes 30 min but it's worth it.
  • Love their free pickles at lunch!!
  • Don't go! Overpriced food and horrible service. Worst dinner I've had on months.
  • Get the Koshihikari echigo beer
  • Don't come here if you're hungry portions are child sized with an adult price tag
  • Nice but too expensive...$37 for one shrimp?!?!?!!!
  • Used to be my favorite place for great, authentic Japanese food at a great value, but since they changed owners the prices skyrocketed & the varied menu options disappeared. Hoping they bring it back!
  • The salmon kamameshi is amazing!!! And the vibe is great. But the drinks are way overpriced and not filled to the top!
  • Extremely small portions. Not a good place to eat if youre starving.
  • Enjoy the Toto washlets in the bathrooms!
  • This place has a built in bidet in the guys bathroom. No opportunity to use it but did press the button and it didn't work.
  • Fun and rowdy Japanese restaurant specializing in grilled items and seafood.
