  • Meat patties
  • Its imperative to end your meal with a slice of Marlas sweet potato pie. With a light crust and luscious, pillowy filling, this rich dessert is more flavorful and sweeter than a typical pumpkin pie.
  • When Marla says spicy, she means it! No "Minnesota Spicy" here. Food is delicious, but order spice level on the conservative side.
  • Amazing food. ESPECIALLY if you like spicy! Try a variety of the $3 sides and the roti wraps!!
  • I hope television stardom doesn't change a thing about this joint. They're having a viewing party on the 30th.
  • For a minute there I thought this said you were on a Caribbean Cruise ;)
  • The best tip I have for this place is to go...and eat the food. Then, repeat it every other week or so.
  • I used to think I could handle spicy food. I put hot sauce on my popcorn ffs. But my first experience at Marlas taught me I am a snow, I know nothing about hot. Got the jerk chicken. Cried and left.
  • Absolutely delicious food! The doubles are insane and the brown downs, curry and red beans and rice are mouth-watering! Finish off with a glass of sorrel and you'll be in heaven
  • I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. long wait for food, when it arrived, the plantains were burnt, and the chicken was inedible. When I complained, they threatened to call the police.
  • Curried chana and potato!
  • Check out Marla's Carribean Cuisine as seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives
  • The doubles are too good to miss. These tidbits are the island interpretation of the soft bread and curried tomato-chickpea dish known in Indian restaurants as chole puri. Ask for them spicy.
  • From ghost pepper wings to the famous jerk chicken, the extensive menu has plenty of options to build up your heat tolerance. Plus: fried plantains, sweet potato pie, & oxtail stew. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Food was awesome but you have to like spicy.
  • Definitely share the roti wraps, could feed a family. The appetizer, doubles, with jerk chicken is amazing and cheap!
  • The spice levels are legit! Start small and work your way up!
  • The jerk chicken is fantastic. Gotta go back to try the sweet potato pie!
  • The oxtails are messy, but good. Not a whole lot of meat on the bones for the carnivores. Plantains are excellent!
  • Went here tonight for the first time and I cannot say enough great things about this place! Our table if 7 tried a lot of dishes and all were phenomenal. Marla is so great and personable. Truly a gem!
