McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants Recognize U.S. Military Veterans And Gold Star Families With Free Entrée
Seafood Restaurant Celebrates 17 Years of Honoring Our Nation’s Heroes
Houston, TX (RestaurantNews.com) McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants will thank U.S. military veterans and Gold Star family members by offering them a complimentary lunch or dinner on Sunday, November 6 at all 56 locations.
“It is an honor to host the brave veterans of our country at our McCormick & Schmick’s locations,” said Tilman Fertitta, chairman and CEO of Landry’s, Inc. “This year, we have extended our commitment to include Gold Star parents and spouses. We want to honor the sacrifices of their loved ones. We look forward to serving these families.”
On November 6, veterans and Gold Star family members can choose a single complimentary lunch or dinner entrée, including options such as Salmon Rigatoni, Buttermilk Fried Shrimp, Cedar Planked or Grilled Salmon, Blackened Chicken Fettuccine, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Skillet Bronzed Tilapia, Tender Beef Medallions, Romano Chicken Chopped Salad and a McCormick’s Cheeseburger. Additionally, the restaurant will offer $3 Bloody Marys and Mimosas.
McCormick & Schmick’s has recognized military veterans with a special event every year since 1999. For the first time, this event will expand to Gold Star families. The program has been praised by former President George W. Bush and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as a number of state veterans departments and the National Restaurant Association.
The term ‘Gold Star’ describes family members who have lost a loved one in military service. The Gold Star first made an appearance during World War I after being placed over a service flag’s blue star when a service member was killed in combat. The Gold Star signified the family’s pride in the loved one’s sacrifice rather than the mourning of their personal loss.
McCormick & Schmick’s commitment to local freshness is apparent in the classic dishes and regionally inspired preparations offered on their daily menus. Each restaurant is uniquely designed to create an inviting, original and relaxed atmosphere, where guests can enjoy the highest quality dining experience.
Verification of service is required. Reservations are highly encouraged, as tables fill up quickly. Guests can visit www.McCormickandSchmicks.com to find a location near them and to book their reservations today.
