  • Macs Tavern is part owned by FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" actors (and husband/wife) Rob McElhenney & Kaitlin Olsen. There are 17 beers on tap, but sadly "Day Man" is not on the juke box.
  • it was better as Skinner's now it is just another lame bar, with the same old music, and the same old style.
  • One of only a few non-pretentious spots in Old City. Cool people, yummy munchies and a big draft list.

  • The French onion soup is a monstrosity - literally a roast beef sandwich in a bowl of broth - be hungry!
  • Make sure you stop by for some of Grandmom's Own, a soup of meatballs, escarole, egg, cheese, and chicken broth inspired by "someone's old family recipe".
