Tips
- A real-deal BBQ joint, with perfect pork ribs: tender meat, smoky flavor, the right amount of fat, a crisp, tasty exterior bark. Awesome beef sausage too.
- City Market may just be the finest BBQ I've ever had. It certainly goes toe-to-toe with Black's BBQ in nearby Lockhart. The brisket, ribs, and sausage are all religious experiences!
- The pork spare ribs, sausage are awesome!
- Ribs, sausage, brisket are the best around.
- No ribs, yet it was 1215pm. Brisket was dry with a tough hard crust. Sausage was mealy and greasy. Will not return.
- Best sausage fest ever
- Bring cash, unless you want to pay ATM fee. The brisket is wonderful, I preferred it over the places in Lockhart. Also, make sure you get a bottle of sauce from the counter.
- Don't get soda here. Try the tea. They have unlimited refills.
- Try Blacks in Lockhart, then try City Market in Luling. You will see.. City Market is the best around. Especially the best food to have after a nice long fishing trip down the San Marcos!!
- Try the pork ribs
- Made our South's Best List! Make sure to try the mustard-based sauce that must confound leagues of South Carolinians.
- Best ribs around!!
- Try the BBQ Brisket
- Ribs were great, and I didnt have the brisket, but it looked absolutely A+

- Get a couple of super-juicy beef sausage links and a few of their big, tender pork ribs. Apply their spicy vinegary hot sauce liberally. Enjoy the meat coma. WinstonWanders.com
- Everything ia great. The pork ribs are spectacular. Perfect crust, incredible. At $13 a pound, you can't go wrong
- The sausage casings pop; black and red peppers kindle the flavors in the ground meats, a mixture thats 95 percent beef and five percent pork. The ratios of leanness and fat have no equal.
