Customers can try the Panko-breaded Cod Sandwich in Restaurants Across the Country July 1
Louisville, KY (RestaurantNews.com) The Coastal Cod sandwich made a splash with a national sampling event for Long John Silver’s Panko-breaded, top- quality Cod on a Hawaiian-style bun earlier this summer. The first event was extremely popular with customers, so the largest quick-service seafood restaurant in the country will hold another event on Friday, July 1. “This sandwich is so flavorful and satisfying we wanted to give everyone another chance to try it before the promotion ends,” said Marilyn Nicholson, Vice President of Marketing.
The Coastal Cod sandwich is 100 percent wild-caught Alaskan Cod, breaded in Panko crumbs and lightly fried to golden perfection. The quarter-pound hand-cut fillet is served on a slightly sweet Hawaiian-style bun and complemented with tangy tartar sauce and crisp dill pickle slices.
The national sampling event will take place in participating Long John Silver’s restaurants across the country on Friday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dine-in customers will be served a sample of the Coastal Cod sandwich with no purchase necessary. The Coastal Cod sandwich is available à la carte or in a combo, which includes fries and a 20-ounce drink. The Coastal Cod Meal includes one fillet, two sides, two hushpuppies and Long John Silver’s signature Crumblies. A piece of the Coastal Cod may also be added to any meal.
