The quick service seafood chain will be delivering fish, cole slaw, fries and hushpuppies to flood victims
Louisville, KY (RestaurantNews.com) Long John Silver’s, the world’s largest quick service seafood company, will be delivering 800 pieces of fresh fish, cole slaw, hushpuppies and french fries tomorrow, July 2, to 400 people in Richwood, West Virginia. Families and individuals who have been affected by flooding will be able to pick up food starting at 3 PM in the garage of the former Dodge dealership in Richwood. Due to conditions and flooding, signage may be difficult to follow. People seeking food should turn right at the stoplight coming down Highway 55 and look for the large white building that was once the dealership.
“It’s devastating what has happened in West Virginia, and we are anxious to get out there and do our part to help feed the community,” said Marilyn Nicholson, Vice President of Media, Promotions and Marketing for Long John Silver’s. “Our local Long John Silver’s community is happy to support our neighbors in Richwood and will be volunteering their time and energy to serve the community in this time of need.”
Richwood has seen some of the most destructive flooding in West Virginia and citizens have been deprived of their homes, food and other resources. Long John Silver’s will prepare food in Weston and transport it to Richwood for those in the area.
Anyone is welcome to receive food at the former Dodge dealership. For more information, contact (304) 767-8161.
