Foursquare Tips

  • First time and I didn't like it at all, supposed to order chicken taco but instead of beef stew, nasty!!! And once I eat, a lady grab my plate which I didn't finish my tacos, Never go there again!
  • Carnitas plate with handmade tortillas was excellent! Can't wait to try other things!
  • Best Champurrado in Olvera Street, don't try any others!
  • You have to try the sweet tamales, they are fabulous!!!!! Fabulous!!!!
  • You MUST have a large cup of Champurrado! Its the best in the city!
  • Come for Chile Relleno Friday! The best Chile Rellenos in LA.
  • Chicken tacos with the green salsa are delicious.
  • Good food but they need hotter salsa...
  • Fresh made tortillas. Bam! That. Just. Happened!
  • Carnitas & cafe de la olla.
  • If you don't get the champurrado you just wasted your visit.
  • Opened in 1959 in a historic building on L.A.s oldest street. Serving from a take-out window, it has a central dining room. It evolved from a Mexican market with the same name opened in 1915.
  • If you're not too concerned about food safety practices, eat here! The lady serving the food uses her bare hands to scoop the carnitas (pork meat) into your taco /plate!
  • Best tortillas in all of LA!
  • Tamal de puerco muy bueno.
  • My tacos were falling apart. Can't stand that
